Trade of member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) steadily increased since 2016, measuring at over 866 billion U.S. dollars in 2018. The trade volume peaked in 2013 when it exceeded one trillion U.S. dollars, seeing a sharp decrease between 2014 and 2015 when international sanctions were imposed against Russia.
