Australia - gender breakdown of online gambling by wagering type 2019

Responses to a survey of online gamblers in Australia in March 2019 indicated that fantasy sports had the highest proportion of participation from men, with 94.2 percent of men placing bets on this wagering type. Overall, men dominated online wagering participation, representing the majority gamblers in all wagering types. Women represented less than 20 percent in each category, with the exception of horse racing and TV event/show wagering where they represented 23.6 and 32.7 percent of gamblers respectively.

5,076 people responded to the survey however not all participants indicated that they participated in all wagering types.
