According to a survey on the working arrangement after the Spring Festival in China released in the early February 2020, many industries would extend the holiday period under special circumstances. As the country suffered from an outbreak of coronavirus during the surveyed time, about 47 percent of the companies in finance industry would choose to prolong the holiday after the Chinese New Year in order to prevent the spread of the disease.
