Bankruptcy growth after the coronavirus outbreak in Sweden 2020, by industry

From February to June 2020, the number of bankruptcies showed a sharp increase as a consequence of the spread of the coronavirus in Sweden and the world. Bankruptcies in the industry of trade in motor vehicles grew the most in June 2020, by 86 percent compared to the same month last year. In the restaurant and hotel sector, bankruptcies increased by 76 percent compared to June 2019. By comparison, the amount of bankruptcies of constrution companies decreased by eight percent from last year.
