Volume change of air passengers in China during Chinese New Year 2020

Since the coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak happened very close to the time of the Chinese New Year, the air passenger volume in China dropped by 63 percent on January 24, 2020, the first day of the Chinese New Year holiday, compared to the first holiday day in the previous year. Usually, the Chinese New Year holiday period is a peak travel season in the country.
