COVID-19 impact on the stock market South Korea 2023

As of February 28, 2023, the Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) and the Korean Securities Dealers Automated Quotations (KOSDAQ) index stood at 2,412.85 and 791.6, respectively. After fears of the coronavirus (COVID-19) caused the KOSPI to fall below 1,600 points for the first time in ten years, the Korean government announced a plan to help financial markets recover. The coronavirus adversely affected the South Korean economy, which, however, quickly recovered as early as 2021.
