Small and medium-sized enterprises in China experienced the greatest hit in the novel coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak. According to a survey on the epidemic impact on the Chinese society released in February 2020, around 33 percent of the surveyed companies in the epicenter Hubei province said the outbreak had a serious impact on their business, which resulted in a temporary suspension of business operations.
