In 2018/19 there were 911 High Court cases in Scotland, compared with almost 5.2 thousand indictable offences at Scottish Sheriff Courts. Since 2014/15 there number of indictable offences at Sheriff Courts has been declining, with around 1.7 thousand fewer court cases in 2018/19 when compared with 2014/15.
