Colombia: electricity demand 2020
The average daily electricity demand in Colombia reached approximately 177 gigawatts hour per day on the last week of April 2020, a decrease of 14 percent in comparison to the second week of March of the same year. Quarantine measures were implemented in the country on March 20, 2020, in face of the COVID-19 pandemic and the increasing number of cases in the country. Since then, the average daily electricity demand in the country decreased for three consecutive weeks, reaching the lowest average on the first week of April.
