As of September 20, 2020 there have been approximately 2.2 million claims made to the United Kingdom's second self-employment support scheme, a scheme launched to protect the incomes of the self-employed during the Coronavirus pandemic, following the conclusion of the first scheme in July 2020, which was protecting the incomes of 2.7 million people at it's height.
