Top publishers of domestic news podcasts worldwide 2019, by country
A ranking of top publishers of domestic news podcasts worldwide found that broadcasters were the main producers across five countries in July 2019. In France, broadcasters significantly dominated the publishing landscape, accounting for 80 percent of production, whereas in the United States broadcasters produced just 35 percent of news podcasts. In the United Kingdom the reliance on broadcasters was also not as strong, and 33 percent of top news podcasts were published by established print or digital backgrounds. Additionally, the United States market included more podcasts published by a specific production company, with 19 percent of podcasts produced this way.
