Brazil: share of population who thought the Earth was round 2019

As of July 2019, around seven percent of people surveyed in Brazil said they thought the Earth was flat. That was equivalent to 11 million people, according to the source. Approximately three percent of respondents stated that they did not know what the shape of planet Earth was. In 2018, the functional literacy rate in Brazil amounted to 71 percent.
