Leading reasons for non-regular employment Japan 2022, by gender
According to a survey conducted in Japan in 2022, 31.2 percent of the male respondents and 34.5 percent of the female respondents stated that they wish to work at a time that is convenient for them as the leading reason for non-regular employment. As of 2022, more than half of all female employees in Japan were working in non-regular employment, compared to around 22 percent of men.
