Time allocation on workdays in Japan 2023, by gender

According to a survey conducted in Japan between December 2022 and January 2023, regularly employed women spent twice as much time as men on household tasks and childcare on working days. Women allocated around 100 minutes per workday on childcare and domestic labor. At the same time, men spent an average of 44 minutes more at work.
