Well-being in the UK 2022

In 2020/21 the happiness rating in the United Kingdom fell from an average score of 7.47 out of ten, to 7.32 out of ten, the most significant fall in this time period. There were also falls in life satisfaction and in how worthwhile people felt, albeit not as severe.

Happiness: "Overall, how happy did you feel yesterday? There are no right or wrong answers,give an answer on a scale of 0 to 10, where 0 is “not at all” and 10 is “completely”.

Worthwhile: "Overall, to what extent do you feel the things you do in your life are worthwhile? Where 0 is 'not at all worthwhile' and 10 is 'completely worthwhile'.
