As reported by a survey conducted in Italy in 2020, the most common causes of prejudices and discrimination were sexual orientation and racism. In addition, other 23 percent of interviewees stated that discrimination occurs also because of the Italian region a person comes from. Eventually, only 10 percent believed that people were discriminated because of disabilities.
