The analysis is based on a sample of 50,000 keywords collected from different tools: Ranxplorer, Semrush, SmartKeyword, Google Search Console. Research volumes are adjusted for the period between October 8 and December 12, 2020. Then comes the analysis of Google Search Console and Google Trends data which shows that it is during this time period that the vast majority of queries are carried out.
The keyword data is notably based on the analysis of last year (2019), and we must therefore pay attention to the release of new products that are not up until now (as of 05/10/2020) included in the study: for example, it's a safe bet that the Xbox or Playstation 5 will weigh heavily in the balance!
In the ranking of e-merchants, we analyze weekly the top 1,000 keywords, which represents 62 percent of total demand and which gives the main trends by product type.

From this data, we performed a full analysis:
- Of the most employed keywords on Google, in order to understand what the French are looking for, the results were categorized: by brand, by type of product, directly from e-merchants, etc.
- and therefore the SERPs linked to top keywords, in order to give you the best performers in terms of brands, products and e-merchants in the categories considered: High-Tech, Fashion, Video games, etc."
