In a survey conducted in 2020, regarding the retail industry in the Asia Pacific region during the coronavirus pandemic, 54 percent of surveyed retailers stated that their plan for physical stores throughout the next 12 months was to increase online sales capacity. Comparatively, for the same survey 15 percent of respondents stated that their future plan was to open more pop-up stores.
