In a survey conducted in Peru in January 2021, around 37 percent of respondents said that the most serious problem affecting their family as a result of the coronavirus pandemic was the lack or loss of employment. The second most serious problem according to 29 percent of respondents was the lack of economic resources. In third place, with 22 percent of the people surveyed, Peruvian families were affected by the contagion of a member of their household or a direct relative.
