During the fourth quarter of 2020, unspecified malware scanning made up the largest share of detected malicious software in Finland. Over 28 percent of observed incidents were unspecified scanning malware, which increased during the year 2020 as a result of growth in remote work. Other malware accounted for a share of 23.1 percent, followed by the Android Trojan virus Hummer with 12.8 percent. Moreover, malware attacking smart devices connected to the internet (IoT), mostly Qsnatch and Mirai, made up over 10 percent of observed incidents.
