China: leading eSports players by earning 2023

As of August 1, 2022, Wang Chunyu, also known as Ame, was the highest earning Chinese eSports player. According to the estimates, the 25-years-old player earned around 3.9 million U.S. dollars throughout his recorded eSports gaming career. Zhang Yiping took the second spot with 3.87 million U.S. dollars, followed by Zhang Ruida and Lu Yao. Most of the top Chinese eSports gamers were specialized in playing Dota 2, a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) video game.
