According to a survey from early 2020, 11 percent of small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) in the Asia Pacific region expected more than 50 percent of their business to be digital by 2021. More than half of the surveyed SMBs in Asia Pacific expected over 21 percent of their business to be digitalized by 2021.

The findings are based on a survey across Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Industries of SMBs surveyed include construction, financial services, manufacturing, media, resources, retail and wholesale, services, telecommunications, and utilities.
