Monthly quick service restaurant sales in the United States from 2019 to 2020 saw year-over-year declines as a result of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The first year-over-year drop was seen in March 2020, with sales declining from 29.66 billion U.S. dollars in 2019 to 24.16 billion U.S. dollars in 2020. However, things looked up by 2021 and into 2022 with sales from March 2021 onwards reaching above pre-pandemic levels, at over 30 billion U.S. dollars every month.
