Obstacles regarding health access for migrants in Libya 2021
In 2021, the main obstacle for migrants in Libya to access healthcare was unaffordability, as 90 percent of those were unable to afford medical treatment. The second main cause for lack of health access for 43 percent of them was their inability to secure safe access to health institutions and centers. A further main challenge for 29 percent of migrants was securing qualitative health care. Other groups of migrants (nine percent) spoke of distance to healthcare centers being too long. Finally, a hindrance for six percent of migrants was the untrusted medical supplies.
