Attitude toward the Unified State Exam in Russia 2009-2023
Approximately two-thirds of Russians had a negative attitude toward the Unified State Exam in 2023. Only 16 percent of respondents stated that it was a worthy substitute for the outdated examination system. The public opinion on the exam deteriorated over the observed period. The Unified State Exam was mandatory for school graduates in Russia to take after the 11th grade to be able to apply to higher education institutions.
