Share of children enrolled in preschool education in Russia 2021, by region
On average across Russia, the preschool education enrollment rate reached over 73 percent in 2021. In other words, the number of children enrolled in daycare institutions and kindergartens occupied more than 73 percent of all children aged one to six years. Among the country's regions, the highest preschool education enrollment was recorded in the Ural Federal District at nearly 83 percent. The lowest figure was observed in the North Caucasian Federal District, where less than 52 percent of children one to six years old were enrolled in preschool education.
