Value of works of art imported into the U.S. 2011-2022
The trade value of works of art, collectors' pieces, and antiques imported into the United States increased by roughly 23.5 percent in 2022 over the previous year, following a sharp drop with the onset of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Overall, the trade value of imported works of art in the country amounted to around 10.35 billion U.S. dollars in 2022, rising by nearly two billion U.S. dollars from 2021 but remaining below the figures reported in 2018 and 2019.
