Share of natural gas in gaseous state exports from Algeria 2021, by destination
Italy was the main destination of the exports of natural gas from Algeria as of 2021. That year, the country accounted for almost 67 percent of the exports of natural gas in gaseous state. The second leading destination was Spain, with around 30 percent of the total exports. Natural gas at gaseous state is exported through gas pipelines. The Enrico Mattei (TransMediterranean) pipeline from Algeria to Italy had the largest annual capacity.
