Harassement in public space: women's age at the first time in France 2020

In France, nearly four out of five women between the ages of 14 and 24 who have been harassed in the public space (i.e. 99 percent of women of this age) were harassed for the first time when they were minors. For more than half of them, they first experienced harassment between the ages of 10 and 14, and for a third, between 14 and 18. The situations most frequently encountered by young women were insistent looks and inappropriate gestures.
