Steps taken by French women victims of rape or attempted rape with professionals 2019
In 2019, nearly half of female victims of rape or attempted rape had not sought professional help after the incident. Just under a third of these victims had consulted a doctor, and 28 percent had consulted a psychologist or psychiatrist. Only ten percent of victims decided to meet with members of an association or to call a victim support service.
