Major challenges for recovery efforts in response to the Tohoku earthquake Japan 2020
According to a survey conducted from November to December 2020 in Japan, 76 percent of respondents mentioned that they believe handling the accident in the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant poses a challenge for national recovery efforts in response to the Great East Japan Earthquake. Several reactors of the power plant suffered a meltdown as a result of the tsunami during the earthquake in March 2011.
