The recommendations to buy retail real estate of different types in the United States in 2023 were significantly lower than those to sell or hold except for neighborhood and community shopping centers. According to 54.7 percent of industry expert respondents, community/neighborhood shopping centers are good retail properties to buy in 2023. On the other hand, over 72 percent of experts recommended selling regional malls in 2023.
