Value of sea fishing production in Morocco 2020, by type
In 2020, the value of the sea fishing production in Morocco amounted to around 11 billion Moroccan dirhams (1.13 billion U.S. dollars). Coastal and artisanal fishing contributed the highest value, corresponding to roughly 6.6 billion Moroccan dirhams (680 million U.S. dollars). As of the same year, sea fishing production in the country added up to 1.4 million metric tons.
