France: infrastructure order backlog 1975-2022

In the first quarter of 2022, the backlog of orders index for infrastructure construction companies in France increased to -3.35. When the index has a negative value, it means that the order backlog of most companies is below normal, while positive index values show that it was above normal. In 2019, these figures reached a peak, with almost 26 percent of respondents reporting a higher order backlog than what is normal. That same year, many infrastructure companies in France were experiencing staffing or material shortages.
