Convictions for police brutality Russia 2022

The number of police personnel convicted of brutality against Russian civilians saw a generally downward trend over the period under consideration. In 2022, 463 were convicted under Section 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Russia. On the other hand, as many as 8,261 Russian civilians were convicted of violence against the enforcement authorities in that year.
