Convictions for police brutality Russia 2020

Between 2016 and 2020, there was a downward trend in the number of police personnel convicted of brutality against Russian civilians. In 2020, 503 were convicted under Section 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Russia. On the other hand, as many as 6,300 Russian civilians were convicted of violence against the enforcement authorities in that year.
