Amazon Appstore: gender distribution of global app users 2022, by category

During the second quarter of 2022, sports and news apps hosted and distributed in the Amazon Appstore registered higher engagement from male users. Approximately 87 percent and 85 percent of sports app and news app users engaging with apps in these categories on the Amazon Appstore were men, respectively. In comparison, female users downloading apps from the Amazon Appstore used more kids and education apps, with 65 percent and 58 percent of app users of these categories being women.
