Between 2008 and 2020, the average consumption of food supplements in Italy increased continuously. This statistic shows the number of packages of food supplements consumed per capita in Italy from 2008 to 2020. In 2008, the number of packages consumed per inhabitant stood at 1.6, while by 2020 this figure reached 4.1 packages per person, thus more than doubling. In the same year, Italy was the European country with the highest per capita expenditure on food supplements.
