According to a survey on elections in the Philippines in 2022, approximately 39 percent of respondents stated that they supported the country's plan to change their system of government to federalism. In comparison, 23 percent of respondents stated that they lack knowledge about this issue. Federalism is a form of government in which two levels of authority—a national government and state or provincial governments—share control over the same region.
