Impact of the current economy on pet ownership in the U.S. in 2022
A 2022 survey asked U.S. consumers if the current state of the economy affected their pet ownership. Six percent of survey respondents responded that they delayed getting a pet due to the economy and two percent of respondents gave up pets they already had as a result.
