Austria: car registration volume by leading brands in 2021

VW was the leading make in new passenger car registrations in Austria in 2021. With close to 36,000 new VW car registrations, the brand made up 15 percent of new cars in Austria and dominates the Austrian car market. Skoda was the second most popular car make but trailed significantly behind VW, with nearly 40 percent fewer new Skodas than VWs being registered in 2021.
