In that month, RT broadcast nearly 13.5 thousand 15-second blocks mentioning the words "Ukraine," "Ukrainian," "Kyiv," or "Kiev." Across the world, the coverage of the country sharply increased in February 2022 due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The number of 15-second TV blocks on BBC News and Al Jazeera reached around 39.3 thousand and 32.2 thousand in March 2022, up 1,267 times and 205 times compared to March 2021, respectively.
