According to a survey conducted in China in 2022, over 80 percent of respondents under 30 years old said that they got to know virtual influencers through video or livestreaming apps such as Bilibili and Douyin. Thanks to the development of 3D and other advanced technologies, virtual influencers have become popular on Chinese online platforms and injected new vitality into short-formed videos and livestreaming platforms.
