R&D intensity in the biotech business sector as share of industry value added Spain
In 2020, the biotechnology R&D intensity in the Spanish business sector as a share of industry value added amounted to about 0.13 percent, the highest figure reported during the depicted decade. R&D intensity in the biotech business sector in Spain has been increasing since 2010 after reaching about 0.08 percent of the total industry value added. As of 2020, biotech R&D intensity represented around 10.2 percent of the whole R&D of business enterprises in Spain.
