Biotechnology capital expenses in Spain 2020, by type
In 2020, capital expenses of the biotechnology sector in Spain amounted to more than 162 million euros. By nature of the expense, nearly 77 percent, or about 125 million euros, corresponded to equipment and instruments. Moreover, capital expenses from the biotechnology sector for specific R&D products reached around 8.5 million euros that year. In turn, current expenses from the Spanish biotech field attained more than 1.89 billion euros as of 2020.
