Incidences of mumps among children and teenagers in Germany 2013-2024, by age
In 2023, there were around 1.91 cases of mumps per 1,000 residents up to the age of four. Although, figures had been on a downward trend since 2015, in 2023 there was an increase across all age groups apart from those aged 10 to 14. 2021 saw a new low in the number of cases, probably to due the lockdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
