Frequency of listening to podcasts among teenagers in Germany 2023

In 2023, around 22 percent of teenagers in Germany listened to podcasts either daily or multiple times a week, this was an increase compared to 2021 and 2022, when the figure stood at 14 and 19 percent respectively. 38 percent never listened to podcasts.

The surveys are developed in cooperation with SWR Media Research (SWR Medienforschung), the Association for Newspaper Market Research (Zeitungsmarktforschung Gesellschaft (ZMG)), the Federal Agency for Civic Education (Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung), as well as its regional offices in Baden-Württemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate, and the Reading Foundation (Stiftung Lesen).
