Share of children treated in mental health facilities in Ghana 2020, by facility

Most mentally ill children and adolescents were treated in outpatient facilities in Ghana as of 2020. This represented 11 percent of the over 49,000 patients treated in mental health facilities in the country. Moreover, inpatient units were responsible for five percent of the children and adolescent treatments. According to the source, none of the outpatient mental health facilities in the country are apportioned to children and adolescents only.
