North America: Availability of online fare media sale among public transport agencies
As of 2022, 100 percent of the reporting public transport agencies had the availability of online pay for bus rapid transit, hybrid rail, monorail, inclined plane, and cable car in the U.S. and Canada. Although the total reporting agencies for each were 8, 3, 1, and 1, respectively. Light rail, commuter rail, and heavy rail respectively had 95.2, 94.4, and 91.7 percent of online sale availability. Bus had only 63.6 percent of agencies offering online sale of fare media, and finally, ferryboat had the lowest share with 55.6 percent.
