Change in mobility habits among commuters in Italy 2021
As of July 2021, about 47 percent of Italian commuters declared to have changed commuting frequency due to the coronavirus pandemic. The pandemic was also the reason to change transportation mean for 34 percent of commuters. Indeed, between the beginning of 2020 and fall 2021, there was an increase in the intentions to commute by car.
