Consumers who know of a vegetarian in their social circle U.S. 2023, by age group

During a survey in April 2023, a combined total of 65 percent of survey respondents in the 18 to 29 age group knew a vegetarian. Over ten percent identified themselves, 19 percent knew of a vegetarian family member, and 35 percent had a vegetarian friend. Close to half of respondents aged between 45 and 64 did not know of a vegetarian in these three groups.
